Advance Your Child's Education, Go Classical!
Classical Christian Education trains and develop skills to equip students to be lifetime learners by teaching students that every subject is comprised of certain defining facts within an orderly organization, and a concise and persuasive way of presentation. This method of instruction has been in use for hundreds of years, and has produced most of history’s great thinkers. This new “old-way” of educating produces graduates familiar with reading, writing, Latin, logic, math, science, rhetoric, and the fine arts resulting in gracious, knowledgeable, and thoughtful men and women.

Intentional Biblical Worldview Emphasis & Training
Riverbend helps students discover and flourish as individuals created in the image of God. Connecting God's hand in history with the lives of men and their literature, weaves a whole-world outlook. We seek to stretch students not only in mind, that forms true beliefs and acquiring skills, but also within their heart where God's spirit develops character, while inspiring them to develop Godly habits and sensing God's presence in new ways. Superior Integrated Learning Model
Riverbend's Humanities Curriculum utilizes a rotating curriculum that integrates literature, history, theology, philosophy, Bible, government, and art to reflect the unity of God's creation . This interdisciplinary classical approach utilizes primary texts and original first-hand accounts rather than textbooks to see God's hand in history. We seek to help families equip students to identify and defend the Christian worldview while incorporating the skills of reading, reasoning, writing and sharing within a tutorial small group context that brings to life the classical grammar and rhetorical skills. Each year the whole family can focuses upon a special era of time, allowing the whole family to discuss and share in their collective learning of God's lessons from His world.

Private Christian Instruction for Homeschool Families
Riverbend, as a college preparatory academy, understands that we must train the next generation to know the truth and stand in faith within a world that no longer sees absolutes as valid and God as real. Riverbend acknowledges that God has given parents the responsibility for the education of their children and assists these families by helping to instruct & tutor those students under the parents’ delegated authority. The lessons learned in discipleship, organization and excellence help them develop life-long habits as well as inherent satisfaction (Colossians 3:23,24).

World Class Custom Curriculum and Instructors
Riverbend utilizes the classical Trivium and the child’s God-given strengths at each stage of growth to create age-appropriate customized learning models of instruction. Elementary children enjoy memorizing, singing, and rhymes, so a solid foundation is laid in each subject of study at this age; junior-high students are inquisitive, so we develop their ability to reason and discern truth; and high-school students want to develop their own worldview presenting their ideas persuasively with grace and truth. We do not instruct/tutor to standardized tests, rather we seek to assist parents in transforming individual lives for God's glory. (1 Timothy 4:7-11)

Mentored College Courses Offering Earned Dual Credit
Riverbend's High School offers a variety of dual credit opportunities to enhance a students readiness for college under a watchful mentor. As part of Grand Canyon University's consortium and through connections with local colleges many students graduate with their Freshman year in college completed while in High School utilizing AP, CLEP and online classes. This GCU consortium entitles our CORE students with additional guaranteed scholarships.
